July 16th, 2009

I might continue to blog after summer school is over. I don’t know though. I think I am because I have a long break after summer school is over because I’m not coming back to SHA :( . I got into a different school and they start on like August 24. YAYYYYY! Anyways, I am going to continue to blog so I am going to try to find another blog site that is fun and safe( I hope ). I like blogging. It is so much fun. I am not just saying that because my teacher is going to see this. I really do like blogging. I will miss this class :(

What a Website!

July 15th, 2009

The website that I am recommending to you today is about soccer.

Here is the link to that website:

http://mysoccerblog.blogspot.com/

I wrote about this website/blog site a few days ago but this is a really good website is you haven’t had a chance to see it yet. I chose this website because as you must know, I love soccer. This web site’s author does share his voice. Also, I find myself relating to what I read because this website is about soccer and I love soccer so I should relate to this blog.

This website is professional because it has titles for every post and it talks about one subject: SOCCER. I like this style because it is very organized and I like websites that you can find things easily.

I feel that this website is effective in putting out its message because it talks about something in a post and it tells the message throughout the post.

In the author’s profile, it says that he lives in Soccer Town, United States. Is Soccer Town a real place or is this guy just making it up? This guy is an expert at soccer because he keeps up with recent games and all of the soccer things that you need to know about. I think Mike H.(the author) has qualifications to write what he is writing.

This is a link to a video clip that I thought is awesome:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIcJrSNcEXI

This link is to the USA vs Brazil game. It has highlights to the game and the goals that were scored. I chose this video because I thought that the goals scored by USA were AWESOME. As you can see I am a soccer lover. :) I watch it all the time and I play it all the time too. And my parents are very supportive. Anyway, you should check out the website if you are a soccer lover like me or even if you aren’t a soccer lover… just watch it!

Blogs

July 9th, 2009

We had to find 2 or 3 blogs that we found interesting today and yesterday.

I found one on soccer. I found that one interesting because well I like soccer and it talked about different things about soccer. One post on that blog had talked about wearing different kinds of socks.

Here is a link to that website:

Another blog that I found interesting was one about swimming. I found it interesting because it talked about swimmers and what they are doing now and what they are experiencing.

What a Website!

July 8th, 2009

The website that I am recommending today is a website called Free Rice. Free Rice is a website where you answer vocabulary questions and for all the questions that you answer correctly you are donating 10 grains of rice to people that can’t afford to buy rice or they don’t get any food at all. You are giving food to poor people basically. The people in charge of the website are giving the poor that rice. It is a good way of learning more vocabulary words and giving to charity as well. The website is really basic. When you first go on it, you are at a vocabulary question to answer. Also, it is very organized. It has links at the top of the web page and it has nice colors to it. The content is of this sight is easily readable. This site also uses proper grammatical elements. Obviously it does because it is a site where you answer VOCABULARY questions and you need to have correct grammar. There are no spelling mistakes and punctuation errors all over the place.

To help donate to charity and to work on your vocabulary, go to this website now.

Tips to become an expert @ soccer. Like Me!

July 2nd, 2009  Tagged

Use these 10 tips to become an expert at soccer:

1. Wear shin guards, long soccer socks, and cleats.

2. Have the correct size ball.

3. At home you should practice the proper way to kick a soccer ball.

4. When you kick, DO NOT kick with your toe. When you do, the ball will go in any direction. Use the inside of your foot, or the top of your foot (the laces).

5. If you are good at defending, then you should practice with someone bigger than you, like maybe your dad, and pratice trying to get the ball away from them or shielding the ball.

6. If you are a midfielder, then you should practice your collections and making accurate passes.

7. If you are a forward, then you should practice shooting on target, your form, and the power you put behind the ball.

8. Even if you are a forward, you should still practice shielding the ball and you should also practice your pace and accuracy.

9. ALWAYS play your best and your hardest. If you get the ball taken away from you, then don’t just give up, TRY AGAIN!

10. Have fun! :)

This is my area of expertise…SOCCER! I love the sport. It is very fun and enjoyable. These are some tips you should pratice and follow to become a better soccer player. I learned all of that through my experiance of playing since I was about 4 or 5. Even if you aren’t very good at first, you shouldn’t give up, you should keep trying. I was going to give up when I was younger, but I didn’t and I kept on trying. Look at me now. I am getting really good and I am playing in a hard league. That is why you should never give up and you can end up being very good. Have fun and enjoy!

My area of EXPERTISE!!

July 1st, 2009

My area of expertise is Soccer! This is the sport that I am an expertise at.

~ Soccer is a sport where you are trying to score a goal in your opponent’s goal and try to defend your own goal at the same time.

~ When you get really good, you can move up to a more advanced level. This level is HYSA. It is way more challenging than AYSO. Well it’s not that much more difficult.

~ When you are in HYSA, you usually have a goalie (oviously), 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 2 forwards.

I am also an expert in resturaunts.

~ My favorite resturaunt is Ihop. It is like you are eating breakfast at lunch (which you are).

~ I got hashbrowns, and this really big pancake that had whipcream, and strawberries. It was sooo good.

This are the 2 things that I will be talking about for the next few Tuesdays and Thursdays.
